claire coder, founder + ceo
Hi! I’m Claire. I founded Aunt Flow after getting my period in public without the supplies needed.
At 18 years old, I dedicated my life to developing a solution to ensure businesses and schools could sustainably provide quality period products, for free, in bathrooms. Our products are made with organic cotton and we are constantly working to reduce our environmental impact! Since 2021, we've donated MILLIONS of period products to menstruators in need. I call this people helping people. PERIOD.®
“There are so many great aspects to this initiative, besides the fact that now students have access to free tampons and pads. Like the dispensers being designed to be accessible for people that cannot pinch and turn, for example, and for offering the opportunity for us to discuss menstruation more openly.”
— Patricia Thome
Supervisor of Custodial and Grounds Operations, Algonquin College
“The status quo of unhygienic metal wall boxes and empty, paid vending machines is simply not good enough. Washrooms need to accommodate how menstruators manage their periods in public spaces so they can continue their work, school, and social activities without stigma or fears for their health or livelihood.”
— Robert Guice
